The Restricted ADAS Part 1 Course is ideal for individuals who require a Part 1 certification but do not require the construction skills, ideally suited for individuals looking to become a scientific diver. This course utilises scuba with bailout cylinders, full face masks and communication equipment whilst introducing surveying and sampling skill. Diving is limited to environments where there is direct access to the surface.
The Commercial Dive Academy now offer the unrestricted ADAS part one course in Great Barrier Reef, Queensland where most scientific divers are based in Australia.

The Restricted Part 1 Certificate is designed to give you a fundamental understandings of the basic skills and requirements that will be needed to become a commercial diver. CDA’s Restricted Part One Certificate is the perfect starting point for any aspiring scientific diver.CDA prides itself on its 100% employment rate since 2018, and will help in any way it can to aid in the employment process of a graduated student.
This course meets the standards of AS2815.6 – Restricted Occupational Scuba Diving.
Successful completion of this course results in partial completion of the following Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification: Certificate IV in Hyperbaric Operations (Surface-supplied diving to 50m). (National Qualification Code 10133NAT, awarded by Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS), Registered Training Organization (RTO) Number 88104).

The facility, equipment and training that is offered and available to students is nothing short of amazing. The Saturation barge is an experience within its self. I'd doubt you'd get this type of experience anywhere else in the southern hemisphere.
