This course is conducted over a 4 week period (one week theory, followed by three weeks practical training). It consists of both theory and practical work, and utilises scuba with bailout cylinders, full face masks and communication equipment. Theory is focused on safety, physiology, basic physics, technical drawing, observational skills, emergency and medical training. This course is limited to environments where there is direct access to the surface.
The course includes 21 dives with tasks including full face mask orientation and emergency drills, standby diver rescue drills, underwater voice and lifeline communications, underwater searches, underwater surveys & photography, night dive, chamber dive, light construction/hand tool tasks and deep dives.
In addition to the practical dates below, one week of theory is covered through online learning in the two weeks' prior to practical training. Note the course fees for Part 1 in Queensland has a higher cost as accommodation at Orpheus Island Research Station is included.

ADAS Air Diver
The facility, equipment and training that is offered and available to students is nothing short of amazing. The Saturation barge is an experience within its self. I'd doubt you'd get this type of experience anywhere else in the southern hemisphere.

ADAS Air Diver
one of the biggest things a noticed was that students even from Part 1 and 2 were being trained exactly as we would if we were working on an offshore and onshore worksite. Something I feel I missed out from previous training elsewhere.
