Overview

The ADAS Offshore Supervisor course covers activities and competencies required for the training and accreditation of dive supervisors who are required to supervise diving work safely and competently offshore, either on Air or Helium and using a Diving Bell (wet or closed). There are four separate qualifications under the onshore supervisors qualification scheme, two of which are trainee qualifications:

Who is the Course for?


The IMCA Trainee Offshore Supervisor course is for aspiring supervisors who wish to gain the knowledge and understanding to pass the IMCA offshore supervisor exam. Our course is an ADAS and IMCA approved supervisor course.

Trainee Offshore Supervisor

This course goes part way to meeting the requirements of:

  • AS 2815.5 – Dive Supervisor

  • Trainee Offshore Air: Partial completion of Diploma in Hyperbaric Operations (Construction diving Supervision). (National Qualification Code: 11038NAT, awarded by Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS), Registered Training Organization (RTO) Number 88104).

  • Trainee Offshore Air and Bell: Partial completion of Diploma in Hyperbaric Operations (Construction diving Supervision). (National Qualification Code: 11038NAT, awarded by Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS), Registered Training Organization (RTO) Number 88104).

Offshore Air Supervisor/Offshore Air and Bell Supervisor

These courses both meet the requirements of:

  • Diploma of Hyperbaric Operations (Offshore diving Supervision). (National Qualification Code: 11038NAT, awarded by Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS), Registered Training Organization (RTO) Number 88104).

Please note the Diploma is only available to candidates who complete their onshore supervisor training and assessment with an Accredited Training Organization (ATE) accredited to issue Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications. Candidates who attended a non-VET ATE and do not hold a partial completion of the Diploma will only receive the above mentioned units of competence.

  • BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs

  • BSBWHS307 Apply knowledge of WHS laws in the workplace

  • NAT11038008 Plan dive operations

  • NAT11038009 Implement plant, equipment and maintenance procedures for diving operations

  • NAT11038010 Supervise on site chamber operations

  • NAT11006027 Administer oxygen in hyperbaric chambers and in general emergencies

  • NAT11038011 Supervise use of tools in diving operations

  • NAT11006020 Perform underwater work in the construction sector

  • NAT11006074 Prepare to work safely in offshore diving operations

  • NAT11038013 Supervise stage-assisted diving


Trainee Offshore Bell – Closed Bell
