The ADAS Part 4 Closed Bell (Saturation Diving) Certificate is the natural next progression for a Part 3 Diver. It is the highest level of qualification offered by ADAS and if the final stepping stone in become a fully fledged commercial diver.
CDA has a saturation barge with diving capabilities of 100+ meters at Lake Cethana. This course duration is approx. 21 days where students will be introduced to saturation equipment and trained in closed bell diving and chamber complexes. The student will also complete one dive at approximately 100 meters.
Closed Bell Diving is the most advanced of all commercial diving, it is a diving technique that allows divers to reduce the risk of decompression sickness when working at great depths for long periods of time. Closed bell diving involves working and living in a pressurised environment either on land or underwater.
Successful completion of this course results in the following qualification: ADAS and IMCA Closed Bell to 300m certificate
Graduates of this course will be qualified to work in the construction diving industry to a maximum of 300 meters.
Due to the high level of training and qualifications needed to become a saturation diver. Divers who have successfully graduated from CDA with an ADAS Part Four Certificate (saturation diving) in Closed Bell Diving are in hot demand for high paying jobs, primarily offshore in the oil and gas sector.
Beyond a Saturation Diving Career, divers can aspire to become supervisors, superintendents or client reps. CDA prides itself on its 100% employment rate for all students since 2018.
We will help in any way we can to aid in the employment process of a graduated student.
Our saturation diving course is run by international instructors with experience in deep sea saturation diving and saturation supervision. Our ADAS Part Four course is fully IMCA accredited and equivalent to various international certifications (see FAQ). With the ADAS Closed Bell saturation diving certificate IMCA will allow you to dive up to 300m as a saturation diver.

it was the best 3 months of my life, it went so quick as the course was enjoyable and we were doing different things every day. Thanks, CDA for a great course and helping me find employment after the course. Anyone thinking of doing the course just do it you want regret it, the school has great facilities, you’ll meet new friends and get the best training available anywhere.

The facility, equipment and training that is offered and available to students is nothing short of amazing. The Saturation barge is an experience within its self. I'd doubt you'd get this type of experience anywhere else in the southern hemisphere.

one of the biggest things a noticed was that students even from Part 1 and 2 were being trained exactly as we would if we were working on an offshore and onshore worksite. Something I feel I missed out from previous training elsewhere.
